Prep room Excursion to Windmill Downs Park

Our energetic explorers from Prep room set off on a delightful excursion to the local park, turning an ordinary day into an extraordinary adventure! With the sun shining and spirits high, the children embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm, laughter, and plenty of movement.

The highlights of the day was a lively game of tag footy, where teamwork, speed, and giggles ruled the field. Children dashed across the grass, dodging tags and cheering each other on, showing off their growing coordination and sportsmanship. It was heartwarming to see friendships flourish and confidence bloom with every pass and play.

Beyond footy, the park became a playground of imagination and joy. From spontaneous races to nature spotting, every child found a way to shine.Educators joined in the fun, encouraging participation and celebrating each child’s unique strengths.

After all that running and laughter, appetites were in full swing!Everyone gathered under the shade for a relaxing picnic lunch. Sandwiches were the star of the spread packed with care and enjoyed with gusto. The children chatted happily as they munched, sharing stories and swapping sandwich halves like seasoned picnic pros.

It was a lovely moment of calm and connection, giving everyone a chance to recharge and reflect on the morning’s fun. The joy of eating together in nature added a special touch to the day.

This excursion wasn’t just about play—it was a chance to connect with nature, build social skills, and enjoy the freedom of open space. We’re proud of how our little adventurers embraced the day with curiosity and kindness.

We’re already looking forward to our next outdoor adventure. Until then, we’ll keep the memories—and muddy shoes—as reminders of a day well spent!
