Welcome to our Monthly Newsletter! We are all looking forward to another wonderful month here at Bush School. April brought plenty of excitement and meaningful moments. Steps Vision Screening visited over two days to provide free vision checks for our 4–5 year old children. We are grateful for this opportunity to support our children’s wellbeing. As ANZAC Day approached, the children spent time learning about its significance. They were given space to reflect on what ANZAC Day means to them and to honour those who have served our country with such courage and pride. To all who have served, our Poppins community says thank you. We also held an ANZAC Day BBQ for the children attending the centre on Friday. The children absolutely loved the sausages. A big thank you to Miss Nellie for cooking and helping make the day special. Towards the end of April, the children began working very hard on their Mother’s Day gifts—beautiful creations made with love for their mums or someone very special in their lives. Looking ahead, May will be another exciting month. Our Photo Week will be held from the 4th–8th, and this year we’ve chosen a lovely autumn leaves backdrop for the children’s photos 📸. We can’t wait to see those smiling faces.
A Fresh Space for Curiosity and Play
We are excited to share that Miss Mary and her team have been working hard to create a beautiful new outdoor area beside the Junior Preproom. Their dedication, creativity, and teamwork have transformed the space into a welcoming environment for the children to enjoy.
With the new deck now complete, this wonderful area is ready for children to explore and experience. Thoughtfully designed to encourage imaginative play, outdoor learning, and calm moments of connection with nature,it will provide many valuable opportunities for growth and discovery.
If you have a moment, please feel free to take a look at this fantastic new addition to our centre. We are incredibly proud of the effort and care that has gone into creating a space that will inspire curiosity, confidence, and joy for years to come.
