June Newsletter 2025

Welcome to the June addition of our monthly ❄Newsletter❄ May was a busy month. Photo week came with lots of smiles and a bit of shyness from some of our friends at having their photos taken for the first time. We also had StEPS come and do their free vision screening for our prep friends. Miss Mary brought the tipper truck for a visit for our junior preschool friends and tipped a small load of sand out. Our junior preschool friends had a wonderful time getting to sit in the tipper truck and help load sand into wheelbarrows and wagons to tip into the big sandpit a great time was had. In June two of our staff member that have been on maternity leave are returning Miss Caitlin and Miss Emily.M. Please give them a big welcome back. Stay tuned for lots of new excursion that will be happening for our Poppins friends to get out and about in the Poppins bus. We are also hosting our biggest morning tea on the 17th June 2025.

Changes in our Poppins spaces

Walking around the Centre, you will have seen that we have made some changes to the main yard with the obstacle course revamped and moved and changes to the cubes near the kitchen for the children to climb on. We have also moved the teepees over near the windmill. Our educators are also making changing to the rooms throughout the year as the children interest evolve in different topics. By changing the spaces and bring out different resources we encourage the children to challenge their imagination, coordination skills and help facilitate social interaction with both children and educators.

Miss Mary and her team have been busy building new resources for the Centre stay tuned for more updates.

In our reception area you may have noticed a TV has been installed. Miss Mary purchase and installed the TV to take the place of the digital photo frames. During the day the TV will play photo of the building of Poppins Bush School and how it has evolved over the years. In the afternoon we will play photos of the children’s adventures during their day.
